Well despite a few glitches 2nd annual Labor Day Weekend Beach Bass was a hug sucsess! In all about 30 people showed up. We played games, swam, fished and ate some great food! Can't wait till next year!
WOW this has been a busy month for Ellie! She just turned 5 and last night she graduated from Pre K. She will attend kindergarten at Barber's Hill next year. Looking forward to a fun summer, here are the highlights from the ceremony.
Happy Birthday Ellie, or should I say YEEEE HAW! Ellie's cowgirl birthday was a blast! She had lots of cousins and friends from school come and play on her waterslide and beat up her pink horsey pinata! Yummy cake and ice cream and lots of presents. Even though her party was originally schedule for the 8th and had to be moved to the 22nd due to her illness it turned out to be a beautiful day and a wonderful party.
On a sad note we missed Little Bobby his mommy is being silly again.... Missed you Bobby.
Granny's little girl is getting big... OK not really BIG, but older for sure! I LOVE YOU ELLIE!
My son is in trouble again. It breaks my heart whenever I think about it. This is a part of being a mom I don't like. I feel helpless and my heart is shattered for my own little boy. I'm so scared for him. Blogger friends please pray for my son.
The only good thing to come out of this is that I have been able to spend a full week with Little Bobby and give him some "Granny time" he has been missing. He is ADORABLE and he is digging his Granny and Papaw.
He needs his Daddy so pray for changes and homecomings.
Well Audrey showed up in Houston on New Year's Eve Morning! I had all the girls so we went to pick them up so we could play with him and kiss him! We had such a good time! Robert got to see him for a little while too. I hope to see him again in a few days.
Santa couldn’t find a more ADORABLE group of helpers if he set out on a worldwide search! We were stopped by so many people from the time we got out of the Yukon in the parking lot, our royal march through J.C. Penney and on through the mall to Santa’s throne.
The ooh’s and aah’s were everywhere! They stomped around with their curly hair, sparkly PINKSanta dresses and oohlala BOOTS! I was busting at my seams with Granny pride!
Of course we had to wait in line for almost two hours because Alyssa & Randi were late as usual. When will I learn to tell them 7 instead of 9? After we were done telling Santa about all the cool stuff we wanted him to bring we went to a Mexican food lunch and then to Marble Slab with uncle Joey for some mint ice-cream in our Abdominal snowman T’s!
That evening Papaw took us to Dickinson’s “Festival of Lights”. It was really pretty and lots of fun, but very F O G G Y!
I had them all weekend and they were so good despite a little bickering over where we were sitting in the car. They colored, watched Christmas specials and decorated their own tree with Uncle Jeff.
I’m so blessed to have my little girls. My heart aches for their cousin little Bobby. I hope that someday soon his mommy will bring him to see me, or I can travel to visit him in Dallas. I want him to know how much I love him and miss him. It saddens my heart that I can’t spoil and spend time with him like I do the girls. It is so unfair to him to miss out on all the fun things we do together.
MERRY CHRISTMAS BLOG FRIENDS! COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS AND THANK GOD FOR THE LITTLE MIRACLES IN YOUR LIFE.
Well I miss him terribly and I doubt I'll even get to see him for the holidays. My heart is broken, but his parents are so busy being hateful, spiteful & selfish that my feelings don't really matter at all. I got this photo from my son. Mijo's mommy sent it by cell phone so it isn't perfect, but it does show him working on crawling with his chubbies all raised up! Mijo if you ever get to read this your Granny is missing you and loving you from afar. I hope to see you soon!
I was on my way to the Texas Renfest one Saturday Morning October 17th. It just so happened to be Faerie weekend. On my way into the festival I captured three wild forest faeries in the parking lot! What luck! They were hard to tame, but with corndaogs, turkey legs, snowcones and pretzels I finally won their trust! LOL
Yes I made the costumes. We had a blast! Can't wait for next year!
The fair blue-eyed faerie Isabelle Sparkles AKA Jacy Blaire
Well I got to see him for a few hours before his Mommy left for Dallas again..... She should be back in a month or so at least she promised to. My son hates me, but I have no choice. If they can't come to an agreement between them then i will just have to see my grandson every time she allows me too. even if it is for a minute at a time.
My daughter Randi's best friend Marilyn. She was killed in a drunk driving accident this year almost a year to the day that her mother Mary passed in the car from an anurism. She was 24. She leaves behind a beautiful boy who turned 4 just 3 days after they removed his mommy from life support.
He lives with his Grandfather Michael who is struggling to understand the loss of his dear wife and daughter. Mali's father Chris has many issues of his own and is not in the right state of mind to care for his son. He loves him, however in the last two years Mali has lost everything dear to him, but Michael.
I am Mali's Granny replasement and I accept the job with open arms. Randi does what she can to help despite how busy she is with her girls. Pray for the Shumate/Nelson family friends. Pray for comfort and that the grieving hearts will find a moment to relish the joy of raising a little man.
It was sad but very sweet. Due to his father's mistakes we only got to see, hold and love on him for about an hour. It brings tears to my eyes even now as I type. I miss him and I hope his mom will realize what he means to me and how much we want to stay in his life. My son is sick and refuses help.... These photos were taken BEFORE the unmentionalble incident occured. All are safe. All are well. But I am suffering a broken heart. My precious son and his son. Pray for my family friends and blog buddies. Pray for peace, understanding and healing.
My Girlie Girl has turned a little tomboyish afterall! Jacy and Ellie went fishing with Granny & Papaw August 23rd and Jacy surprised Kenny and I with her fishing skills.
She caught her first trout (see photo), a pompano, a lady fish and even a black tip shark! She had a great time and impressed her Granny with her skillz!
All my friends, even the ones who don't live in the trailer park said "You should write a book about your crazy family!" Well I figred they was right so I thunked bout it a spell and decided I would start with a blog. So here it is.
BTW It is the way I MEMBER it. So don'tcha be correctin me ya here?
